Ighalo was born on the 16th of June, 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria. He hails from Edo State, South-Southern Nigeria and was born to Edo parents of Esan origin.
Ighalo comes from a family of 5, his parents, himself and 2 other siblings, a female and a male. His siblings go by the names of Daniel Ighalo (brother) and Mary Atole (sister).
For his formal education, he had his primary and secondary school education in Lagos State, even though we don't have the institution names.
